Applications for the VirusLock Selector
Introducing VirusLock (TM)
    revolutionizing data security
Privacy on a network--simply "disable (network adapter) in this hardware profile" on the backup drive, and it will not be accessible by the network again.

Stability of computer platform--of particular interest to software developers.

HIPAA Compliance--upcoming medical office regulations stipulate higher levels of patient record confidentiality.  Storing sensitive data on the "backup" drive keeps it safe.

Company policies which prohibit loading unauthorized software--operating with an isolated second hard drive protects company data and software.

Control power to an internal scanner or other internal device.  Some of the best applications have yet to be suggested!

Convenient data backup--data transfer rate between hard drives is extremely fast, no disks to misplace, no costly external backup drive to purchase.

Make use of an old hard drive--perhaps the one component of an obsolete computer that's still useful; power it down when not in use, thus extending its life.

Salvage lost data--when boot sectors deteriorate on "main" drive, booting on the backup drive and salvaging the data from the "main" drive is often possible.

Disaster recovery--how many small businesses (and large corporations) have lost productivity due to virus damage?  With VLS simply mirror clean software and data from the "backup" drive back to "main" and keep working.

Sharing a computer with children--give them their own hard drive and protect the other, all on the same computer.  Effectively, this is like having "two computers in one."

Run different operating systems on the same computer, from separate hard drives.

An alternate scheme for computer use:  Establish an isolated "computer" on the "backup" drive, where all data is safe.  Then use the "main" drive only to access Internet or network.

And many others...we'd like to hear from you about additional applications of the exciting, new VirusLock device!
